Hi, I’m Berk! My research focuses on the operational challenges that arise when providers offer services both in-person and online. To develop insights that lead to more efficient and equitable service systems. I explore these issues from multiple angles—the provider’s, the customer’s, and the policymaker’s—using both queueing theory and data-driven approaches.
I will be joining The College of New Jersey as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Operations Management in Fall 2026.
Outside of research, I enjoy watching movies and sharing my takes on Letterboxd. You might also find me on Strava cycling around nyc.
